News from the newly elected Scheme Steering Committee

The latest Scheme Steering Committee election has resulted in the election of the following individuals to the new Steering Committee:

- Arthur Gleckler
- Shiro Kawai
- Marc Feeley

Since the election, we have held two meetings of the Steering Committee (SC) to organize our activities. We intend to hold regular SC meetings, approximately once a month, to better monitor the standardization process and provide appropriate guidance to the working group. We also decided to appoint an SC chair responsible for convening SC meetings and representing the SC. Arthur Gleckler has accepted this position.

To provide appropriate guidance to the working group, the SC has decided to hold regular meetings with the working group chair. In particular, we will ask the chair to report on the working group's activities and progress. We aim to hold these meetings approximately every three to four months.

Given that the scheme-reports-wg2 mailing list reaches many people involved or interested in the Scheme standardization process, we will make announcements on this mailing list. Please let us know if there are other places appropriate for messages from the SC.
