Forexample, at the A1 level, learners are expected to have a basic understanding of English grammar and be able to use simple sentence structures. In contrast, at the C2 level, learners are expected to have a near-native level of proficiency in English grammar and be able to use complex sentence structures accurately and effectively.

So excited about these! I love all of your books. They are simple and straightforward yet the material is full of life. My favorite curriculums are those put together by other, experienced homeschool moms. Thanks so much for making them available.
Sherry, you are a great blessing to the homeschool community. Thank you for these free, grammar book downloads. We just adore the lovely graphics, the gentleness and simplicity. My daughter started using Level 1 last year. She is 7 now, continuing with Level 1.
I would say the Gentle Grammar series is meant for children who are beginning to read and write, no matter what age that may be. As they become able to write good sentences and simple compositions, they can progress to more focused grammar. I am currently putting together a comprehensive blog post (Lord willing) on how to homeschool for cheap or free that will include some helpful links for grammar resources that you may find helpful.
Hi Sherry,
Could you speak to how you go about placing your children in Gentle Grammar? Would you start all young students in Book 1? Or start lower elementary students who are reading proficiently (say midway through McGuffey 2nd reader) at a higher Gentle Grammar Level?
Thanks!
Hello.
I would love to try yours. My son is semi bilingual. We are looking for curriculum that can help him learn grammar. Does this workbooks have answers? I am not perfect with my English and it would be nice to have answers.
That sounds very wise, or you could also have her dictate her sentence to you and you could write it down for her, which would make her feel like she is doing the work but would reinforce the correct spelling.
The Analytical Grammar program consists of five levels that allow students to spend a portion of their school year focused on targeted study of grammar, then apply that knowledge to their broader language arts work.
Students will practice and apply their knowledge about parts of speech and how they interact with each other. Students will learn to analyze and identify the roles that parts of speech play in a sentence.
Level 5: Punctuation and Usage focuses on developing a comprehensive knowledge of punctuation and word usage. Students will round out their grammar knowledge by combining the proper use of punctuation with all they have learned about grammar constructs.
In order to properly measure and track client progress, no matter what study resources the client is using, AllSet Learning has developed lists of grammar points, organized by level. If you're not sure where your grammar knowledge stands, take a look at one of these levels, and if you can find one where you know MOST of the grammar points already, work through the rest until you're totally confident with the whole list, and then move on to the next level.
AllSet Learning has adopted the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which uses the "A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2" system, corresponding to levels beginner through advanced. These levels also have equivalents in the ACTFL (American) standards.

Our hope is that students will acquire a good understanding of grammar structure and that students can apply this to real life language. It is really important that students read the explanations and examples in this section thoroughly.

You can test your new knowledge through review quizzes and interactive audio lessons, where our teachers ask you questions, and you can respond and check where you need to improve.
If you want to learn grammar, I recommend starting from Level 1 of the Core Grammar course and progressing step by step. Also, if you study along with books, it would be good to practice grammar with the Core Grammar workbook! ?
I wish there were more visual lessons available. Especially for the harder lessons. The audio is great and I can easily follow along with my book but I am a visual learner. I think I would be able to retain the information more if I could watch the lesson instead of only listening to it.

When Word finishes checking the spelling and grammar and errors corrected, you can choose to display information about the reading level of the document, including readability scores according to the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level test and Flesch Reading Ease test. Understand readability scores.
This test rates text on a U.S. school grade level. For example, a score of 8.0 means that an eighth grader can understand the document. For most documents, aim for a score of approximately 7.0 to 8.0.

Hello, I am looking for advice on the amount of progress I should try to make in my specific time frame! I am studying abroad in Japan in April, and so I have about 3 months to study Japanese more aggressively before I start my semester there. I just started Bunpro, so I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a certain level of grammar on here that would be the most beneficial to reach before I get there. I am just working part-time until I leave, so I am open to any suggestions of the amount of time I should spend on grammar to get to a particular level. Thank you in advance
If you are studying 2-3 hours a day, I think you could realistically finish N5 material, and maybe get a start on N4. However, if your goal is to be able to do common everyday tasks in Japan I would highly recommend supplementing your studies with more targeted material. For example, youtube videos on how to buy groceries, order coffee from a cafe, etc. It might be a bit advanced for someone first starting out, but I personally love Akane Sensei on Youtube because she has a great mix of travel and everyday Japanese videos: =yNsjl7WFtRY
I agree with your recommendation that those 3 months might be better spent memorizing common phrases, and targeting N5 vocab/kanji/grammar. That should give the OP a good and realistic foundation before commencing his/her studies there.
