Hi,

We are implementing schedulix for a customer in their environment.
They would like to include Schedulix in their SSO environment, so users can use their normal credentials when accessing schedulix (with the supplied UI) and only gain access to what they are allowed to.

Since schedulix uses web users and server users, I guess some work has to be done to make this happen. Has anybody done this before ?

We have put schedulix behind a proxy, so a solution where the proxy handles the SSO part and then forwards sufficient information to the schedulix system would be fine as well.

Regards,

Wim Veldhuis.

Hello Wim,

in fact, under Windows, there is some SSO support already built into BICsuite Release 2.8.
This also should work for schedulix in a windows environment using AD.

An Apache in front of Zope using Zops Fast CGI Interface is used to identify SSO users.
Installation and setup depends highly on your environment and is not trivial.
Running Apache and Zope in a Linux environment and using AD SSO may be possible
(Depends on the apache packages available) but is not verified yet.

The amount of time necessary to revise and/or translate our internal documents for public use and
the effort to support you setting everything up correctly
would exceed the support we can provide for free in this group.

If you want to take advantage of our consulting services to solve this issue, please contact us (con...@indpendit.de)

Sorry for this 'commercial' answer, but I hope you understand, that we have to earn our living too.

Regards
Dieter

Hello,

Thanks for the reply, we at least have some pointers to work with. I will notify management of the possibilities and we will see what happens.

I fully understand the commercial answer, no problems there. I appreciate the support I have gotten so far tremendously, it was already a lot more than I expected.

Regards,

Wim Veldhuis.
