I downloaded the .deb version of YUMI (multiboot usb creator) from the pendrive homepage and I wanted to make a bootable usb for Windows 98 to run on Virtualbox, but anyway the software asked for my sudo password inside the software itself and I felt it was a fishing scam, so I wanted to remove it.

1 - Take your USB drive (I had a 750gig portable) and I cut the first 100gig to a separate partition then create a second out of the remainder.
2 - Format both to FAT32
3 - Choose your favorite multiboot creator (I use Linux and have one called MultiSystem that works very well), others mentioned above.
4 - As one of your bootable options get Clonezilla Live
5 - Store the images on the second partition so when Clonezilla asks to mount a separate home directory say "yes" then choose the second partition of your drive.

Both of the softwares have their own websites and -multiboot-usb-creator/ (although this last is more of a subdirectory of the site). But is it a little more difficult to find the download link (if you want to download from the SARDU site, make sure you right-click on the download link and save the target. It may be easier to just download it from the Softpedia site) on the SARDU site , it is better from the paid www.sardu.pro site for SARDU 3.x. It is a lot easier to click on a "downloader" link for something that is being advertised rather than the SARDU application itself. Although this didn't use to be the case, I can see how this might be financially necessary. I finally did download both software applications, so on to step two.

So now that the original question is resolved, I gotta think about the multiboot thingy- maybe try that Linux/Windows live USB creator (doc is bad but looks interesting with all the features claimed.)

PenDrive Linux takes care of windows and ubuntu for you natively. You just have to boot the the flash drive and select the .iso that you wish to boot to. If you are wanting to manually install an .iso that is not supported by pendrive's multiboot, then you'll need to add an entry manually. You edit this file similarly to editing a grub menu file.

You can make a multiboot USB flash drive to install Windows and/or Linux operating systems using YUMI multiboot USB creator by following the below steps. You will need a flash drive that is large enough to contain all of the operating systems that you want to put on it.

Ventory is an innovative software for creating a multiboot drive from various operating systems. It is a brand new open-source project managed by @longpanda that got 15.2K starts on GitHub. Unlike traditional multiboot creator software, you don't need to burn ISO again and again. With Ventory, you just need to copy the ISO image file into target USB drive after Ventory installation. The hidden utility will decompress the OS files during boot process. Besides, it also supports ISO from Windows PE, rescue disk and antivirus.

WinUSB is a modern multiboot USB creator that supports Windows OS only. There is no need to format the drive during ISO burning process. It features a simple, intuitive user interface, allowing you to easily navigate through its different sections.

It is the time to make a conclusion after testing four multiboot creator software. Ventory is our top recommendation when it comes to create multiboot instances on a single USB drive as it is super easy and free.
