If you are using the HyperOS China version, you may have noticed that some app notifications are not coming. There are ways to fix the notification problem that often occurs in social media applications such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram. Since Google services are not included by default in the China region, push notifications may sometimes not work correctly and therefore notifications may not arrive. If you are experiencing this problem, try the instructions and see if the problem goes away.
You can solve the problem of not receiving notifications in a few steps. This problem is not only occured in the China version of HyperOS, it can also be encountered in EMUI, Flyme and other interfaces. Since Google Mobile Services (GMS) is not included in latest HUAWEI phones, similar notification problems are occured in global EMUI versions. If your notifications are not coming in HyperOS, the solution is simple.

I am working on an application where I am using Google Push Notification. The application receives a notification when it is running in Xiaomi phone. Otherwise, when it's killed, it does not receive a notification.

As for my understanding, once you clear apps or clear memory in the Recent Apps menu, Xiaomi (or MIUI ROM) will force close all the services and memory related to that app similar to user going to settings and force stopping the app.
I've finished setting up and pairing my Versa 3 to my phone, but I have a message saying 'Notification service is not running. A phone restart is required...'. I had the same problem and tried for 2 days to figure it out. This is what worked for me. Open the Fitbit app. Fo to your account information. Tap the Versa 3 picture. Below the Sync, in the General settings, go to Notifications. Make sure Calls is turned on. Tap Text Messages and ensure it is turned on. Go back to Notifications and Tap Calendar Events and ensure it is turned on. Go back again to Notifications and ensure Email notifications is on and the App Notifications to check any other apps you want to get notifications for. I did this and then on the Notifications page, in the top right corner, the 3 dots, you can send a test call notification. This worked and I have been receiving notifications since.
You may have muted notifications for this contact. Press the menu button on your device (or touch the menu button in the top bar (action bar) if your phone has no menu button) And go down to "MUTE" then from there you should see an option to hide notifications. All you have to do is turn that off, and that contact's/group's notifications should start appearing again.
I had the same issue. Apparently I had a custom notification for a specific contact and then at some point I deleted or moved the mp3 file for that sound, so whatsapp couldn't find it to reproduce the sound. Going into Whatsapps' custom notifications for that contact and changing it did the trick.
Hi.
