Dear Sir,

This is to inform all about a set-back from K R Mangalam University about the Optometry program launched this year.

Got the information on phone from Ms. Manvi Arora and Ms Mamta that a new statutory requirement from the Medical Education Dept of Haryana state has come-up, under which a 300+ bed Hospital of their own or a collaborated Hospital is required to run any Allied or Healthcare program. 

University has decided to pull-off all the programs for this session and trying  (along with other Universities) to dialogue with Govt to get a practical solution for it.

All the admissions have been cancelled and students have been offered to switch to any other graduate program that University has or can take the admission at other University.

Will appreciate to hear back from University for any further updates.

Dear Ms Mamta,

Please find attached the MoU copy with required details and some suggested changes. We have used strike-out line to possibly exclude the content and added the suggestions as under lined.

Some of the suggestions which require a discussion have been proposed in the attached MoU. We feel the need to meet and discuss the following points to build the consensus,

1. A joint Governing committee with two members from each side shall be setup to periodically review the progress of implementation.

2. A joint Academic committee with two members from each side shall be setup to finalize the curriculum and schedule of training and its implementation

3.   Decide the schedule of (theory classes, Lab training and clinical training) between University and SCEH

4. Faculties (Instructor/Assistant Professor/Professor) required for theory sessions and practical training at hospital premises and/or at University campus as per the finalized schedule and curriculum

5. Fixed remunerations to SCEH in place of reimbursements 

Please include any other point for discussion that University feels.

We will wait to hear back for the possible time to discuss and finalize it.
