IDPA Match Saturday 5/3

Yes, there is some pony race somewhere in the general area in the afternoon of Saturday but there is a much more fun IDPA monthly match being held in the morning at Silver Creek Conservation Club in Sellersburg, Indiana.  If you are wanting to participate in the pony festivities, you will surely be easily able to shoot IDPA in the morning and get home in time to participate.

Registration opens at 8:30am and closes at 10am.  New Shooter's Orientation starts at 9:30am (please arrive early enough to complete registration, gear up and report to bay on time).  Help setting up the stages for the match is also much appreciated.  Once orientation is complete and the stages are set up, we will begin shooting.  We should be finished by 1:30pm if everyone helps.  If you are new to IDPA, please be aware that you are only allowed to shoot with us once before you will need to join IDPA.  Applications are available at registration and we can also collect the $40 annual dues.  Match fees are $18 for non-Silver Creek members and $15 for Silver Creek members.  Checks are accepted but not credit cards.

If you are new to IDPA or if you have not reviewed the rulebook in a while, it is advised that you review the new rulebook located on http://www.idpa.com./  As you may or may not be aware, there have been some interesting rule changes over the past year.

This is a regular monthly match.  Minimum round count will be under 120.  Concealment garment will be required.

If you would like to volunteer to be an SO for this monthly match, please let me or Brian Jueckstock know asap.  SOs shoot for free.

Oh, and while I have your attention.  Registration for the 2014 Kentuckiana Kolonel will be open May 1.  This Tier 3 sanctioned match will be held October 18 and will be limited to 150 shooters (including SOs).  We are anticipating being full this year, so sign up early.  We are also looking for volunteers to help work the match including SOs.  If you are interested, please send an email to kentuckia...@yahoo.com.  SOs and staff shoot for free.
