Ladies and Gentlemen,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to wish you a happy Memorial
Day and to remind you that we are hosting our regular IDPA monthly
match this weekend, Saturday, June 2, 2012. I hear the weather may
actually cooperate with us and not be such an inferno like we had this
weekend. Registration will open at 9am, as usual, new shooters
orientation starts at 9:30 and as soon as the stages are set up and
the new shooters are done, we will start shooting.

I also wanted to let you know that we have been given permission by
IDPA headquarters and the Silvercreek Board to host an IPDA Safety
Officer training class Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the range house.
This will be an all day class with both classroom and practical
application on the range. Graduates will be expected to SO a
Silvercreek monthly match some time this year or next. The class will
be tought by Ron Rhoden, one of the top Safety Officiers in IDPA and
former Range Officer and right hand man for Frank Glover (MD of the
famous Carolina Cup, Smith & Wesson Indoor Nationals, European Cup and
this year's IDPA Nationals). We are very lucky to have him come all
the way to our neck of the woods so we can get trained by the best.
Class fees will be $40 and will include classroom materials, range
time and lunch. Please note, however, due to the Tiger Team's soon-to-
be-announced rulebook changes, it may be necessary for you to also
attend another class or take a refresher class next year. For those
of you who would like to sign up for the class, I will have a sign up
sheet at registration. Please bring your money when signing up or
contact me to make other arrangements to hold your spot. If paying by
check, please make check payable to Silvercreek Conservation Club.
Also, due to the high demand in the area, I anticipate slots to fill
up quickly, so don't delay in reserving your spot. One last thing, in
order to attend the class you must be an active and paid member of
IDPA. No exceptions.
