Zhou,
I need to talk to some of the other SCC organizers to decide what an
appropriate level of IO is for the competition. You will definitely need
to be able to store some of the .h5 files. I am not sure about what the
frequency with which they are written will be. I will get back to
everyone about this soon. You will not need to generate the .tec files,
which contain the same information as the .h5 files but which cannot be
written in parallel.
To turn off the generation of the .tec files, remove or comment out
(preface with a ':') the line that reads
FORMAT TECPLOT BLOCK
To reduce the frequency at which output files are written, you can modify
the line
PERIODIC TIME 0.02 y
Above, it is set to write output every 0.02 years of simulation time. You
can increase that when you are playing around with things.
Best regards,
Richard Mills
