Instead of scrolling the page, you scroll within the page... kinda pointless aye?

It really draws the eye doesn't it? (Each eye in a different direction though)

If it were possible to click on eight things at once, this website would be really effective.

Came across this gem on Facebook this morning, which got me thinking...

BUSINESS HELP - I run a small online children's party supply business and I am looking at getting a new website. I have a very small budget to work with but do not want to waste my time in setting up and maintaining a website that isn't going to rate well in organic searches. Does anyone know of or recommend website designers that are affordable and good at what they do. Thanking you in advance.

The response on Facebook was rather amusing with businesses promoting their services to the person above, and the common word used was CHEAP.

Putting aside that SEO and web development strategies are two separate services.... If a lot of companies are out there promoting fantabulous websites at fantabulous cheap prices, will the perception of 'I want it all, I want it now, I want it cheap' become the norm?

We all know designers are a dime a dozen ;) Are developers heading the same way?

Cheers
Bevin

The term "graphs designer" is a hoax these days!

Graphic Designers are pixel herders - and in this respect they are absolutely the same.

Some people are modding word press template and calling themselves programmers. In this respect yes! Shit cunts are watering down what programmer means!

Other people though - Business owners - Creatives thinkers - tinkerers are way more intuitive in making great businesses — because these people have expertise in building businesses - wether they use great design, marketing or strategy - they all know how to launch a product and understand a budget.

I ask you this — If a client said they had 5K for a site OR 30K But in your heart os heart you know that the budget would not cover the job — would you A do the extra in the budget or B tell him it can't be done OR C ask for the correct budget.

If we all did the option C — no fucking wanna be designers or programmers would be able to do what we do because they would not get the results we get! Problem is design is so trendy right now!

if the "results" are what mattered and we knew we could actually deliver those results we'd all agree to get paid based on said results - no one does that

I've had clients ask to promise them results and I  told them that there is no way I'd promise that. i lost that  client to someone who promised sales and delivered ZERO sales

I've told clients that they need to be willing to lose their investments especially if we're developing an idea!

That said everyone has a guy feeling based on the facts and what's happens in society's and in idea land.

We just had a client spend 15 and sell
For 250 in 3 months. It was a good idea!

Could have been done cheaper but would that "cheap" person come up with the ideas which deserve the payday?

Now that I think about it - you need to make mistakes to learn - hmmm
