Prepare for awesomeness - we'll be meeting tomorrow night from 6pm at VA central.

As we all seem to be redesigning our own websites at the moment I thought we might compare horror stories as a starting point for discussion.

Please RSVP by tomorrow lunchtime for food order, and if someone feels like pitching in a carton of sweet golden delicious beer that would be a bonus.

Ha!

Can't make it tomorrow but I think it's funny that we're all redesigning our sites... I just finished redoing mine (not live yet).

Nice… I know mine was looking a bit tired after a good five years of neglect. Back when I thought Cufon and gradients were cool.

So everyone is quiet across the board>

Fairly quiet here - but probably more by choice as I needed some time to regroup and work on my own stuff. Bank account low but morale is high.

I'm not quiet, I built mine a good month ago but haven't had the time to send it live.

@Brian, my first site was a Digimon fan site which I designed and coded back in grade 8 (the year 2000) ha!

Does anyone know much about git versioning with Wordpress?

Nah - but I have a contact who has been harassing me about it. I don't really build projects for him any more but I can pass along details if you get stuck and want someone to chat to. I would be interested to learn more but haven't had the time as yet.

Thanks Adrian,

It's not really something I'm interested in learning right now unless someone can give me a compelling reason as to why it's so beneficial for an individual developer (I understand it's use for a multi-person dev team).

I have dabbled with version control as a solo dev and it is great. Jut hard to get in the habit and another layer to learn . But it is good. The ability to fork code and go back to previous versions without stupid naming of files as filenameFinalversion6.php etc
