During the business interruption due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Somerville Media Center remains as committed as ever to offering media training to our community. We continue to offer virtual workshops to replace our on-site classes. A zoom link will be shared with registered participants 2 days before the start of the workshop.

During this workshop you will learn how to create your own website in Wix. Learn to navigate; make pages and posts; add photos; and customize the appearance of your website. Students will also explore how to create contact forms, custom menus, photo galleries, how to add additional users and integrate social media on your website. This workshop is in collaboration with the Somerville Public Library and will be taught by Tim Devin, Technology Librarian at SPL.

LEARN PODCASTING IN SEPTEMBER
Podcasting has fast become the media of choice to get information and opinions out to a wide audience. From start to finish, learn how to build your podcast idea into reality with expert podcaster and Boston Free Radio manager Heather McCormack. Sign up for any or all of them, depending on which skill you need to strengthen.

This series of workshops are free to SMC members and are offered to non-members for $25/class.
