https://somervilleartscouncil.org/unionvideoThe Somerville Arts Council is launching a new call to Video, Animation, Projection and Digital artists called Union Video.
Union Video is a presentation of digital projection art shown on a building facade in Union Square, Somerville. The projection will run evenings in Fall of 2020.
How it works: Submit your proposals via email. You may submit new or existing works. If you have not yet created the work then please describe your proposed work and include a sketch, image or short video clip that visually represents your proposed work. For existing works please submit a link (such as Google Drive, WeTransfer or Website) to your video or partial clip of your video. Final videos should be 30 seconds to 10 minutes in length.
When submissions are received, the Arts Council will curate, choosing a selection of artists to participate. Once participants have been selected, we will review the timeline for completion of your work at which point you will need to submit a link to your final video.
Additional information: The projection is 4:3 aspect ratio projected onto a brick facade approximately 20 feet wide by 15 feet tall. High contrast works will show best on the facade.
Compensation: If selected, you will be paid $300.
