Hi!
Thanks for all the replies!! I didn't know there were so many who
were interested in chasing ghosts and spirits. Maybe I should try to
organise a UFO event as well (but they are a bit harder to catch, no?)

Some of you seem to be firm believers while a few are sceptics..
doesn't really matter what your reasons for joining are though since
Im sure all of us will be more than convinced after the
trip..mohahahaha!! Hehe...

Anyway, Ive always heard that England is the country with the most
ghosts etc in the world so all since I moved here (3 years ago) Ive
desperately wanted to go to one of these haunted houses you can stay
over night. Not very easy to convince people to join you though (and NO
I wouldn't do it by myself...not a chance...not a CHANCE!!) and Im so
tired of having conversations like:

- Well, theres a house in XX village in
Cambridgeshire..appearently some old lady was strangled there..they
claim shes strolling around the place at night..perfect for our
ghosttrip! Its only 1 night..

- ..old ladies, cant they be quite vicious? I mean wouldn't
it be better if the place was haunted by some strangled kid? Maybe an
infant..?

- Ehh...wouldn't a child have more reasons to be pissed off
for being strangled than a lady of 93? The kid would have lost a whole
lifetime..

- Yeah but it wouldn't be able to do any harm..just screaming
in some holographic cot, right?

- ..while the 93 year old lady would chase us with the speed of
an Olympic ice skater?

- Hmm..Cambridge..its quite cold there this time a year as
well..

- ..thats probably why they've installed central heating
then, isn't it??

- But it's a village outside the city...we wont be able to
get there, will we?

- Well..not if the railways freeze and the coachdrivers go on a
strike, no..

- Maybe its best to wait until we're properly prepared..

- ..but we've got lifejackets, a little rubberboat, holy
water...

- ...maybe we should just go to the pub?

So Ive given up trying to convince my friends..they are as adventurous
as a glass of milk.

Well, as I said, my idea was to go to one of these haunted
houses/hotels/castles (some of them even GUARANTEE a ghost...but there
MIGHT be foul play involved with those.. ), but one of you adviced me
on this little village in Kent called Pluckley. Appearently its
officially "the most haunted village in the UK" (..or maybe it was
England..well that's good enough for me ) (THANKS FOR THE TIP!!)
Check out the links below!! There are some great ghosts roaming around
that place that have been photographed, filmed and even recorded!!
Appearently theres supposed to be a pub called GHOSTS where you can
stay (?) but I havent been able to find anything about this yet.. (seem
to be an inn called the Black horse tho (?))

I think this is definitely worth considering, or what do you think?? If
we went there on a saturday and stayed until sunday we'd have plenty
of time to visit all those ghosts in the village and maybe even get a
ghost to visit us while sleeping.. Can it get any better??

So my suggestion is that we meet up in the first week of january (Im in
sweden until after X-mas and Im sure most of you will be pretty busy
during the rest of December anyway )

Let me know if you prefer meeting up during the week or in the
weekend..and we'll go for what the majority wants? How about
Thursday the 5th, Friday the 6th or Saturday the 7th?

Then we can meet in the pub, chat and make a plan, bring printouts from
the net etc..

How about it guys???

Oh, and just to let you know..all ideas are welcome!! If you've got
any other suggestions/villages/houses etc just let me know!!!

Looking forward to hearing from you all!
Evelyn
