First of all, I'd like to apologize for not replying individually to
all of you.. There are more than 80 of you and lately I haven't had
much time to spend in the internet café.. SO I thought it might be a
good idea to start a Google group (or something similar) where everyone
can read each others mails/questions..come up with ideas/discuss things
etc etc.. Also it could be good for the future since I'm vaguely
planning to organize something similar to this ghosthunt but focusing
on UFOs instead.. So I will check this out today and get back to you..
Ok to the ghostbit..
Well, since hotmail messed up last week (apparently it was the same for
several of you?) there weren't that many of you coming to the meeting
in the end, although not to worry - a lot of you have emailed me
saying you're still definitely on for the trip itself..
Just before the meeting one of you emailed me suggesting that we'd go
camping in the "Screaming Woods" (see link in email 1)
Ok..I=ME love camping and have even been on camping excursions in the
snow in Scandinavia, but I know that the majority of sane people
probably would prefer to chew their own arms off rather than
voluntarily choosing to have a snooze in the forest in winter...
................................OK.....I REALIZE
THAT......BUT.............
..think about it for a minute! It could really be something to remember
for a lifetime! :-) Something like the Blair Witch project but
preferably without the ending.. he he..
We'd make a little fire..grill some mashmallows..drink some
beer..tell ghost stories and wait for the "screams of the wood" to
begin..
And you don't really have to worry about the weather! Just pack
everything you can find at home that is WARM..a duvet (just pack it in
a rucksack...jump on the bag til you can close it - no probs!), a
cover, a warm jacket etc Trust me we'll be fine cos with all that
amount of geese feathers in a tent + the body heat to warm it up - we
wont freeze! I promise! :-) I think it will be fabulous!!!
Anyway..3 of us from the meeting are definitely up for the camping
option + another girl I've met elsewhere - so we're 4 at the mo..
I've got a tent for 4 people (possibly 5 depending on size..) and
we're thinking that it would be great if we could fill at least 2
tents, ie about 8 people..
Basically I've got the following questions for you to think about:
We've decided to go to this haunted village, Pluckley, next saturday
- the 21st of January and stay the night until sunday.
How many of you are interested in camping in the woods?
Does anyone except from me have a tent?
How many of you wants to stay in the B&B?
If there is someone who wants to come along but not stay over -
that's fine as well (although I'd say the most adventurous bit is
to stay the night..).
And...how many of you knows for sure that you are DEFINITELY coming?
Ok, since we've just got a week to go, Ill try to start this Google
group today, but I've never done it before so I'm not sure if its
possible to just ad all your addresses at once and get going or if you
have to apply one by one..not sure but I'll figure it out.
Either way I promise to reply to each email within 24 hours!! :-)
This is going to be great! I hope you are all as excited about it as I
am! (In fact a couple of nights ago I even dreamt I was in a tent
surrounded by kind of see-through elves..and woke up petrified..he he
he..)

PS. Just cos Im really promoting the idea of camping here, please
don't think the B&B option is off...its most definitely on!! Its only
that Im trying to convince a few more to sleep in the woods..thats all

I'm a Taiwanese girl in London. I have some ghost experiences in East
Asia but never in Europe.
I'd like to join, but I've never slept in a wood before. It should be
very cold now... Any suggest?

Ehh..yeah..I would be lying if I claimed it was gonna be like a day on the beach..but Ive been camping in snow and was totally fine. as long as youve got warm clothes and a warm either sleeping bag or duvet (just pack duvets..covers..whatever you can find at home :) and youll be fine! I promise! Also since we're sleeping several people in the tents everyone will generate body heat which kind of works like a radiator when the tents are closed (ie while sleeping). Honestly dont worry about it :)
