Happy 4th Everyone!

Currently, I am in NC visiting with my Aunt. It will be my first holiday in my new state. I hope it can hold a candle to Boston's fun!

Happy 4th Steph and Lorna!

I caution all my friends from the North who settle here to avoid
comparisons (After all, if everything's the same, why relocate?)

You'll find typical big city celebrations in the larger
cities...Charlotte, Asheville, Raleigh-Durham, etc. Smaller towns tend
to have more family type, picnic, arts in the park kinda celebrations.
The coastal area beach towns concentrate more on water activities and
lots of fireworks. The North Carolina Symphony just performed this
weekend in Freedom Park in Fayetteville and attracted thousands.
Fayetteville is a military town (Fort Bragg) and tends to celebrate
all week long instead of one day with the emphasis on patriotism.

Take your pick, have fun. But if you're looking for a Boston
connection...well, there's always Boston.
