Dear SCANZ Members,

Applications are now open for Maslen awards to support travel associated with attendance of PhD students and ECRs at the IUCr 2023 meeting in Melbourne. All SCANZ members who are PhD students or ECRs (<5 years post-PhD, taking into account any relevant circumstances), and who have not previously exhausted their entitlements, are eligible to apply. The application form is attached. We are unable at this stage to detail the level of support, which is dependant on the number of applications that are awarded and scales with distance from Melbourne.

For the IUCr congress, which we are hosting, we are asking that successful Maslen awardees are able to assist as a volunteer at the congress.
