When formatting a scanned document where there are two pages per sheet, Scan Tailor performs the "Select Content" function and draws a box around the text it detects.

I find that sometimes the borders are a little too close to the text and the outer edges of the letters are a bit clipped.  I can fix that by going though every page and moving the borders outward a little more.

Is there a way of setting the "Select Content" function to automatically add a little white space to the borders to make sure all the text is in the selected area?

Hi,

Being the original author of Scan Tailor, I am aware of this problem. Unfortunately I've stopped working on Scan Tailor a while ago, so it's not up to me to fix this issue. Other people maintain the official version of Scan Tailor now, though I have to admit the project is essentially in a dormant state.

Still, there are a couple of active forks around. One is Scan Tailor Advanced:
https://github.com/4lex4/scantailor-advanced

and the other is Scan Tailor Universal:
https://github.com/trufanov-nok/scantailor

Perhaps you could approach the people working on those forks. Keep in mind though, that I suspect this problem affects primarily Scan Tailor Experimental, while none of these forks are based on that.
