Dear All,

Please join us for our annual Nordic Read-Aloud on Tuesday 18 November at 7pm in the Sir Duncan Rice Library (Floor 7, meeting room 1). This is a free public event; all very welcome. (Please note that it is in-person only.)

This year the theme is 'Nordic Fellowship' and we will hear the children's book 'Dog, Cat and Mouse' by Faroese author Bárður Oskarsson read aloud in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic, Finnish, English and Doric! We will also hear a tale from Norse mythology in English and Old Norse.

If you would like to come and are not a member of the university or library, it would be very helpful if you could let me know by 16 November so that we can add your name to a list to be held by the front desk at the library - you can then check-in with them when you arrive. Please do not reply directly to this email but contact me at hannah....@abdn.ac.uk. If you are unsure whether you will be able to make it but make a last-minute decision to come on Tuesday, please bring photo ID to show at the front desk and library staff will add you to the list. (University/SDRL card-holders do not need to RSVP; just come on up!)

Please feel free to share details with anyone you think might be interested.

We look forward to seeing you at what is always a lovely event!

Best wishes,
Hannah
