Hello, I hope you are well!

Please find attached a CFP in both poster and plain text for the annual postgraduate student conference in Old Norse and Viking Studies: Norse in the North. Norse in the North 2026 will be held on 15th May 2026 at the University of Leeds (with a hybrid option for online attendance), based on the theme Mind and Body. The deadline for abstracts in Monday 2nd February 2026.

If you could distribute to any postgraduate students you know that study Old Norse-Icelandic, medieval Scandinavia, the Viking Age, etc., that would be fantastic! We are hoping to make the conference as interdisciplinary as possible, so work from archaeologists, art historians, and linguists is greatly welcome (along with literary and historical studies as well, of course!). Let them know that any questions can be directed to me (enn...@leeds.ac.uk) or to the Norse in the North email (norseinthen...@gmail.com).

As it is the week before the holidays, I am aware that distribution may have to wait until after university closed periods, so no worries as we will also be advertising on social media as well.

If you need any further information about the conference, do feel free to ask me or search through our website (norseinthenorth.wordpress.com).

All the best, thanks in advance, and I hope you have a lovely winter break!
