I'm trying to create a Silent Install for adobe captivate 3 the silent install it self is not a problem but I'm not sure how to do the registration the software part, including the serial number, user info and all that if you have any ideas I would appreciate it. I've been following the stuff below but with no luck.
Students: Place an order for Adobe CC via the Software Distribution site. Faculty and staff: Click the link below to submit a request for access to Adobe CC. Note: if you already have been issued a Creative Cloud license and want to install it on a new or second computer, please follow the re-installation instructions.
The Adobe CC software is available to the UNC-Chapel Hill community through an Adobe Enterprise subscription model. To begin the installation process, you need to uninstall all old Adobe products from your computer. To uninstall the Adobe software, visit the adobe.com article: Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems.
If you need further assistance removing Adobe CC, please contact the ITS Service Desk using one of the contact methods listed below. If you do not have any Adobe CC products, you may skip the uninstall process and continue with a clean installation. All users logging into, Adobe Creative Cloud will need to use Duo for 2-step verification.
UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty and staff have several avenues in which to receive training on Adobe products and services. Adobe has many great online tutorials for the various Creative Cloud products. The University also offers free access to LinkedIn Learning, an online training platform that has many specific Creative Cloud product lessons. Finally, the iTunes App Store provides mobile tutorial apps for the creative mind on the go.
A limited number of no-cost Adobe Creative Cloud licenses are available for instructional faculty and instructional staff. Requests will be approved for individuals whose work for the University includes one of the following activities:
We encourage you to download and install the Creative Cloud Desktop app first. Once installed, this app can be accessed using the desktop shortcut on Windows or from your Applications folder on macOS. When you open the Creative Cloud Desktop app it lists all the other applications that are part of our Creative Cloud license, allowing you to download them and update them without going through the process above every single time.
A. Use a different browser. This is an issue with saved (cached) credentials in the browser. Switch from your current browser to Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome and try to sign in again at adobe.com.
A. If you want to edit PDFs, yes. If you just want to open PDFs, did you know you can open them in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge? Microsoft Edge even supports annotating PDFs with a stylus pen right in the browser!
A. Adobe Acrobat is still available for free online, but all it can do is open PDFs, which you can already do with the software pre-loaded on your WSU laptop. Please use caution when downloading free software. The free version of Adobe Acrobat is often "spoofed" and can contain embedded malware. When in doubt, contact WSU Tech Support.
The Creative Cloud includes access to the following software applications: Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Acrobat DC, Behance, Dreamweaver, Muse, Animate, Audition, Bridge, Media Encoder, InCopy, Prelude, Fuse and more. Additionally, Adobe includes Assets: Libraries, Creative Cloud Files, Document Cloud Files, Photos, and more.
Before you can install Adobe products you should install Adobe Creative Cloud manager - go to the Adobe website (www.adobe.com), and then, at the top right, click Sign In. Click on the Desktop Downloads and choose Creative Cloud (Quick desktop access to Creative Cloud apps and services). Install Adobe Creative Cloud application on your computer.
If you have a Creative Cloud account, and when attempting to download software from adobe.com you are being asked to purchase something to continue, first download the Creative Cloud Desktop App: -app.html. Once the app is installed, log in, and you should be able to download software from within that app.
if you are working with Citrix products, you might have been requested to install Adobe CC software on your image already. this is not a problem when we are using VDI, but with RDS or XenApp this is a little bit trickier.
you can google this topic and will find out, that Adobe does not support installations on RDS or XenApp. but there might be use cases where you still want to do it. in the past i even had to modify the installer, because it refused to run on Server OS, but the newest versions install just fine. Adobe CC runs good on XenApp, but of course it requires a lot of resources.
this post is about an issue i saw recently after a migration to 7.15. especially with InCopy 2018 when using it as a published App: you can open as much published Apps as you want, but if you start InCopy as your last App, it will not allow other Windows come to the foreground. it does somehow block other windows come to the top and only the ALT key will change that behaviour. we also found out, that it will release the foreground lock after you click around and perform certain actions. but for the enduser this is quite annoying.
the same issue does not happen in a full desktop session and also doesnt happen on a 6.5 farm with the same Adobe version. RDP initial app also doesnt show this problem and probably RemoteApp neither (didnt test that). Seamless Flags or disabling hooks didnt help at all and because of that we even opened a Citrix case.
i think adobe does not officially support CS products on Server OS. but are you having the same issue that i posted on my blog? are you using PVS? which VDA version have you installed and which Citrix Receiver/Workspace?
