I have Virtual Clone drive installed on Windows 7, but I only use it rarely. I would like to disable it from running on startup. I already checked the startup folder and msconfig, but I couldn't find a way to disable this service.
Hit Windows+R (run). In the box that apears type msconfig. This will bring you to the system configuration.Go to the tab that says windows start (or something like that, my sistem is not in english).Find the entry that says virtual Clone Drive and uncheck it.It will prompt you to restart, you may choose to do so later it doesn't matter.
When i install virtual clone drive in VMware it doenst work anymore after i capture and deploy it. The target PC doesnt reconnize the virtual scsi driver any more (within VMware it did work), how can i get it to work?
It looks as if sysprep is causing the problem. Once run the driver that is associated with the root\vclone device no longer works and you end up with a SCSI RAID controller device that doesn't start correctly. To fix this you will need to reinstall the filter driver that Virtual ClonDrive uses. Please follow the steps below to do this.
But when i try to apply the command in "FIRSTBOOT" it doesnt work. I had to make a batch file, and run it in the "FIRSTLOGIN" fase option. Then it works. Only i have to start up the machine the first time with a admin account... When i try to run the batch file(or command) in the first boot fase it doesnt work.
Hello everyone as you probably know about a image mounting program called "Virtual clone drive 5440" for Windows 95 on DOSbox SVN, but I have a problem for myself it does not recognize the Mixed mode content even if it's a img/cdd to play cd audio. For those who are wondering what a CCD file is, it's a image file made for Virtual Clone drive to use Mixed mode as a heard from other forums from other sites, very similar to the BIN/CUE pair you have to place the IMG next to the CCD, the IMG carries the date and the CCD carries the audio tracks and it's called "Pregap data" I hear it from some who knows how to work Windows 95 on DOSbox by some named Kevin Hawkins who has a website on how to run Windows 95 on DOSbox, and he knows how to make his IMG/CCD images work.
Here's what I was trying to do,when I tried to install "Lenny's music toons, Star wars Shadows of the Empire and Sonic 3D blast" that I made IMG/CCD files of the original CDs I still have, and I copy it to my Windows 95 B second hard disk image (Just in case I need extra memory.) I mount it with VCD I click on the image I want to mount (Ill use "Lenny's music toons" for example.), then I got to my E drive (Which is Virtual Clone drive.) I click on install and shows that I have midi and wave, then it gives me the error message "CD Audio test failed" but it has the CD tracks in the CCD file I tried like CD player but it didn't detect anything.
So I don't know what I did wrong if any of you know how to make pregap IMG/CCD Mixed mode images that uses CD music and that worked on their Virtual Clone drive emulator on Windows 95 in DOSbox SVN (May 6 2013) (Which I use because it's more for Windows 95 because it's more compatible that way.) please respond to this fourm.
Are you using the most recent version of the SVN Daum build? Perhaps whatever is causing Windows to freeze has been fixed. Actually, the latest versions include CD-ROM emulation directly and and do not require a virtual CD drive at all.
Well I see your suggestion but when I try to use it in the current version of SVN it gives me a the blue screen of death and the voodoo emulation is glitchy that's why I am using the May 6 2013 version.
You mean Jan. 27. 2014 ? I have that version but one problem I get alot off errors when I try to install Internet explorer 5.5 and also is their a way for Lenny's music toons to work that was made for 3.1 with the use of Windows 95 using backwards compatibility without freezing ?
Well I don't under stand some games of what Windows 95 have the back wards compatibility to play games made for Windows operationg systems on DOS that use CD audio always freezes on me when I use Daemon or Nero image rom.
im having trouble with this , i downloaded & installed the program , however when i go to mount , it does not give me the option to do so . there is a manual file for a shortcut and an uninstall file . when i right click virtualclonedrive , explore open search scan with ad aware , these are the things listed . what am i doing wrong? i've rebooted the vista home premium edition machine and tried it just sits there. this is an amd turion processor..not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. any help you can give is appreciated.
this is vista 32bit & yes i have tried rebooting, turning the system off and waiting 2 or 3 hours for no reason etc.. i have also tried installing and uninstalling. this is a brand new machince right out of the box not a rebuild or an machine that has had mulitple things installed or uninstalled etc.
You should also go download MAGIC ISO (that's what I use) and see if you have the same problem. BTW - you can grab an ISO file anywhere these days. try a few of them to make sure it's not a dud like groovy dude said.
But yeah it sounds like you have a corrupted ISO file or in some cases a file won't be readable by certain virtual drive software if it was made by another software brand, such is the case with Alcohol %120 formatted discs.
I have problems with making virtual drives on my system. i have a 32 bit windows vista. i didn't have a problem before i installed a new version of deamon tools and it stuck my system. after i restarted it seems that i can't see any virtual drives with any program (virtual CloneDrive included)
in the device manager i see that under storage controllers there is a "!" mark on SCSI/RAID Host Controller and when i press properties it says: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

In short, if you usually burn CD's and DVD's, now you can test the content before burning them. Save money on discs, and if you have a big HD, you can load images without having to search for the discs, just load image on the virtual drives and enjoy.

Probably the best virtual drive software, Virtual CloneDrive allows you to enjoy the freedom of a virtual drive and is completely free.

Virtual CloneDrive works and behaves just like a physical CD, DVD, or Blu-ray drive, although it only exists virtually.
Image files can be "inserted" into the virtual drive from your harddisk or from a network drive by just a double-click,
and thus be used like a normal CD, DVD, or Blu-ray. Virtual CloneDrive supports up to 15 virtual drives at the same
time - no matter if the image file contains audio, video or just simple data. Virtual CloneDrive is fully integrated in
Windows Explorer context menus and on top of all it is free!
In cases where actual malware is found, the packages are subject to removal. Software sometimes has false positives. Moderators do not necessarily validate the safety of the underlying software, only that a package retrieves software from the official distribution point and/or validate embedded software against official distribution point (where distribution rights allow redistribution).
