Hello folks, I just downloaded scalr-12092011-r5916.tar.gz and followed the setup instructions to set up scalr on my centos 6.0 box. PHP version is 5.3.2.

When I browse to http://localhost I see "Service is temporary not available. Please try again in a minute."

The httpd error_log has this:

[Fri Jan 06 23:44:07 2012] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Fatal error:  Class 'Scalr_Session' not found in /var/www/scalr/app/www/ui.php on line 10, referer: http://localhost/

My doc root is set to /var/www/scalr/app/www.

What am I missing?

Thanks

The Session.php file is found in /var/www/scalr/app/src/Scalr/Session.php

Your Apache httpd.conf should point to /var/www/scalr/app/www on a subdomain (I think it needs to be a subdomain).  For some reason maybe the include files are not being found?

Did you end up finding a solution to your problem?

I am experiencing the same issue and cannot find a solution.

Thanks

In case anyone else comes across this issue, I had the same problem and figured it out.

The problem was caused by PHP not recognizing the short open tags that are used in many of the .php files. To fix this you just need to enable short tags in your php.ini file.

Look for "short_open_tag" and set it to "On".

Hi,

I find the script testenvironment.php is very useful to identify the potential problems in the setup .

Can you try   http://your.scalr.domain/testenvironment.php

Substitute your.scalr.domain with hostname of your setup

I know this thread is a couple months old....

When I try to load the UI in a browser,  I get an error page saying the service is not available.

The short_open_tag, is enabled in PHP, but I'm still unable to load the UI.   There are no errors now in the httpd error log file anymore, either.

Are there any other things I need to verify with my install?

Thanks.

Hi Srini/Affandar,

I am also facing the same issue as stated by you.

PHP Fatal error:  Class 'Scalr_Session' not found in /opt/scalr/app/www/ui.php on line 28, referer: http://localhost/ in Apache error logs.

I have made the necessary entries in Apache conf file for setting up the DocumentRoot as shown below.

DocumentRoot "/opt/scalr/app/www"

<Directory />
   Options FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride All
</Directory>

& even enabled short_tags in PHP but still I am facing the above error.

I am installing Scalr Version 3.5

Could you please guide me on this. Awaiting your reply.

Thanks

Seems like php configured incorrectly. Can you provide output of phpinfo? Or provide a link to phpinfo page?

No, because you've provided link to local network which we cannot open because we have no access to your private network.

PHP 5.3.16 is required for Scalr to work properly.

You have 5.3.8.

Also I'd check if you've got your rewrite engine sorted out properly....

Ankush,

Make sure Scalr can access MySQL with configured auth settings and check that database structure and data were imported successfully.

Hi Nick,

Find below mysql entries in scalr_home/app/etc/config.ini

[statistics]
rrd_default_font_path   = "/usr/share/rrdtool/fonts/DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf"
rrd_db_dir                              = "/home/rrddata"
rrd_stats_url                   = "http://monitoring-graphs.scalr.net/%fid%/%rn%_%wn%."
rrd_graph_storage_path  = "/home/graphics"

[db]
driver = mysqli
host = "localhost"
name = "scalr"
user = "scalr"
pass = "scalr"

Database has been imported correctly with structure.sql & data.sql but still the same error persists.

Correct me incase I am wrong ?
