mail relay

I know it is not the place to ask, but as scalr is intend to work with amazon EC2 and that almost any web application uses email in/out. I would like to ask the scalr users/devs what are the solution you put in place for outgoing email.

Personnally I see two options

• different email gateways (authsmtp.com, fastmail.fm, etc.)
• own email server outside EC22

Sorry for the question, but you can't run a web app without email !!!

Since the problem is in inability to set reverse dns entries, the safest way
would be to use any relay outside ec2.

Just google for "smtp relay service" if you do not have a suitable SMTP
account outside EC2.
