Dear Scalismo community
I am new to Scala and I have never worked with Scala in an IDE. Even though, I am supposing to do ''Statistical Shape Modeling'' of hip bones or pelvic bone or proximal femur head.
So, from your experience which bone shape modeling will be simple for beginner like me and feasible using Scalismo version 0.14 in my window computer? what you recommend me?

With regards,
Bereket W

Dear Bereket,

My advice would be to spend a few days learning Scala and familiarize yourself with the IDE. There are great resources online. Some of my favorite are:
- Hands on Scala (https://www.handsonscala.com/)
- Functional programming in Scala https://www.coursera.org/learn/progfun1 (MOOC on Coursera)

The effort you put in learning  Scala will pay off once you start working with Scalismo and Shape Modelling.

Regarding the shape model: Both the femur head and the pelvic bone are rather simple structure and modelling them should not be a big problem. I would maybe start with the femur head. But once you have one, adapting the code such that it also works for the other one will not be a big challenge.

Best regards,

Marcel
