I found that there is no total closed eye expression in  bfm2017.
How can I generate some face with total closed eyes?
I can just generate face with small eyes.

Thank you very much!

Hi there,

You are right, in the BFM2017 this is not easily possible. The most straight forward way would be to add a blendshape-like deformation where you for example manually modify the mean shape to have closed eyes. Then you add this deformation as an additional component to the model by for example extending the expression model.

Best regards,
Andreas

Thank for  your quick reply!

Follow your idea, I can use some tools or software,i.e. Uinty3D, to modify the eye area of mean shape, Then I add a dimensionality to control eye close in expression model.
That is a cool job! By the way, will the BFM plan to add this new feature in the future?

At least the near future of the BFM will not include that. Only eye blinking included in some expression will be included. If you really want to include proper closing of the eyes, it might be worth exploring a separation of the eyeball from the face surface with the eyelid.

OK, thank you! I'll take a chance any way.
