Greetings,

I am interested in modelling heavy water moderated reactors, such as CANDU, in order to calculate nuclide inventories in legacy spent fuel. Polaris seems to offer significant performance improvements over Triton in terms of run-time. However the manual only discusses the application of Polaris to LWRs. So is it possible to use Polaris for Heavy Water reactors? If not, are there updates planned that would provide this capability in the future?

Alan,

CANDU Polaris support is planned for 6.3 or 7.0 releases, but that will be a while from now. If your analysis needs are urgent, I recommend TRITON in SCALE 6.2.

Thanks,
Matt

Has there been an update on this subject?  That is Has CANDU Polaris support been implemented in SCALE 6.3, or will we have to wait for 7.0?
Regards,
Jeremy
