I was wondering if there is an easy way to get Origen to output more than the top 40 nuclides by activity in the output. I've seen that by manually selecting all the nuclides, the maximum 200 in each of 7 plots, the entire output can be attained. However this then requires cutting, pasting, delimiting, and removal of double-counts (cs137 and y90 appeared multiple times for whatever reason). Is there an easier way to do this?

All I want is the top ## nuclides and their activity after the specified total cooling time. My advisor said that it may be built into the output viewer--I'm currently updating my computer to let me view the help file to investigate. Note, I know -very- little about writing scripts.

Thanks to anyone who replies.

Dr./Mr. Dayman,

I have had the same problem with ORGIEN-ARP when i first purchased it. Since i needed to run ORIGEN-ARP for hundreds of runs, i figured it would be nice to automate the process. So i made a simple GUI using EXCEl VBA. It is still under development. It might very buggy. But you can use it to make generate all ~1300 isotopes in one excel file, by clicking one button. I am not a pro in script writing, so i got some professional help in developing it. The GUI also automates isotopic composition in excel to feed to ORIGEN-ARP to perform any decay calculations. This section is however is not completely ready yet. If you would like to try it out you can discuss it further with me and i can give you the details of how to get it and use it.

Best regards,

Yasir
