small numbers printed without "E"

This is probably not a bug  but rather a feature, but I couldn't find it mentioned in the forum.

I was running a python script crunching origen output-files and noticed that numbers smaller than E-100 are printed without the "E" in the spectrum/intensity part of the output file.

Like this secuence (two time steps):

5.3493E-98 5.3816-104

Scale versions 6.2.3 and 6.3b8

If memory serves, when a floating point number to be printed in an E or D format has an exponent that exceeds 3 places, the E or D is dropped to make room.
