Hello!

I would like to get the neutron spectrum of a fuel assembly by zones through TRITON (KENO). I know that it gives you the flux by regions (n/s/cm/n-source), but I want the neutron intensity (n/s) divided into groups and by regions. Is there any way to obtain it directly in KENO without having to get it through ORIGIN?

On the other hand, I have printed the function "chi" (fission spectrum), but I would like to know if it has been printed in MeV/s or n/s, and if it refers exactly to neutron intensity.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Violeta,

If you add parameter "flx=yes", you get a region-wise energy-dependent flux printed in the output. The energy group structure is the one of the multigroup library in your KENO MG calculation. If you are running KENO CE, you can change the default 252 groups for the flux output with parameter "ngp" (add the energy block if you are not requesting a SCALE group structure). Is this what you were searching for?

The fission spectrum chi is a probability distribution and therefore always normalized to 1.

Best regards,
Rike
