Do you know of any TRIGA or other research reactor that ORIGEN-ARP libraries have already been generated for? If so, do they have validation data to go with that?

We have developed ORIGEN-ARP libraries for Triga and MTR plate fuels for the IAEA for application to fuel characterization for the RERTR program, and Russian designs in other collaborations. The IAEA work involved SCALE training where member countries were instructed on how to generate their own libraries based on their various research reactor designs. We do not publicly distribute research reactor libraries in SCALE but I have made several available some time back to Martyn Swinhoe at LANL. At the time, the libraries were generated using SAS2H (1-D) but I would recommend using TRITON (2-D) now. If you have a need for these libraries it might be worth pursuing having us provide training specifically on developing research reactor libraries. This would allow you to generate libraries specific to any design that can subsequently be implemented and run within ORIGEN-ARP and the Windows user interface.

Validation data (experimental) are hard to come by, although some exists (mostly from Latin America and European programs). Most of the testing we have done is limited to comparison with other codes - Argonne has a WIMS fuel database and other countries have performed their own comparisons and several numerical benchmarks have been performed.

Feel free to contact me to discuss further.
