I am currently performing a burnup simulation for an SFR using KENO-VI. The model uses U-10Zr fuel in a hexagonal geometry.
- Library: ENDF-B-VII.1
I noticed a discrepancy in the keff trend compared to the literature. While the reference shows keff increasing initially before decreasing, my results show a continuous decrease throughout the cycle.
It is presumed to occur because additional depletion conditions or options for poison material have not been applied. What is the best way to ensure these are properly modeled in KENO-VI?
If the correct answer is to modify dancoff, I would like to ask you for advice on what to do in the hexagonal model that cannot utilize the function.
