I have an installation of SCALE 6.1 on a Windows Server 2008 machine which was updated to Windows Server 2016. When I reran the verification sample problems the cases ran but a warning "Untested Windows Version" was shown. More importantly, all the .diff files are empty. Is there a fix for the "Untested Windows Version" warning and the error when creating the .diff files? Also, is there a way to create the .diff files without rerunning all the sample cases?

I have done my own file compare between the .table files created when first installed under Server 2008 and the rerun after the Server 2016 upgrade and all files have no differences.

I have not tried reinstalling SCALE 6.1. I was hoping there would be a solution without re-installation, but can try that if all else fails.

Thanks,

Ryan Archibald

Hi Ryan Archibald,
The 'Untested Windows Version' warning has not been observed to cause issues in computed results so this can be ignored.

The diff files are created using a Java utility. The absence of their content indicates Java may not be configured on your new Windows 2016 OS.

Please open CMD console and execute the following to determine if Java is available

where java

If no Java is available you will need to install it.

Unfortunately, there is not a way to regenerate the diff files without rerunning all the sample cases.

Rob,

Thanks for the quick response. Java was not found so I will have it installed.

Thanks,

Ryan
