In preparing a table of half-lives of selected nuclides, we noticed that several (e.g., Po-212, Po-213, and Po-214) are reported in origen.rev03.decay.data has having half-lives of 0.001 second, which is quite different from the values reported for these nuclides in ENDF/B-VII.1 databases. Is there an obvious reason for this? Does 0.001 second represent an arbitrary cutoff value?
Note also that in the SCALE 6.1 manual, page M.6.A.22, each of these nuclides is given a different decay constant, representing different half-lives. Which values are actually used internally by ORIGEN version SCALE 6.1.3?
