Scala test expectedTestCount is too slow

Hi Team,
after upgrading to java11 and scala 2.13 with scalatest 3.2.12, running the unit test became too slow. It was taking 7-8 mins now it is taking 2-3 hours of time.
Jprofiler shows that it is stuck at expectedTestCount method attach call stack.
