backslash at the end of line gets eaten

Hi there

I have a template with lines such as:

test \\

after processing with the SSP engine one of the backslashes and the newline is gone away.

I think this might be a feature of the scala compiler. 

But in this context, it is pretty confusing as it's not scala code.

A workaround is just adding a space after the last backslash, but that's error prone and I think the engine is not supposed to change the text of a template in such a way.

Is there any way to avoid this behavior?

Or at least, mention this "feature" in the documentation.
