Am I wrong, or does ScalaQuery lack the ability to generate not just a plain ddl description of the whole table, but the specific sql needed to bring the database from its current state to match the Tables?
For instance Lift-Mapper detects whatever columns and indexes etc. need to be added.

yes, for now. Apparently SIQ (evolution of ScalaQuery) will provide
such a feature, but I would not expect it anytime soon. SIQ itself is
coming perhaps in Q3 and I am not sure migrations will be part of the
initial release (Stephan would obviously know best).
