Any Upcoming Meetings?

I'm new to this group, and to Scala for that matter, and was wondering whether there are any plans for a meeting this month.

Hi Andrew,

Thought we'd take a break during summer, but I'm game for a meeting.

A couple of ideas-

* I could present a stack for building REST services using Spray/Akka/Mongo (compare it to an alternative MVC stack)

* We could tag-team the Coursera course mentioned in previous thread (I signed up)

* Setup and play scalatron - http://scalatron.github.com/

By the way, I'm interested in hearing from people using Scala without Akka.   To me, Akka was the reason to learn Scala, but I'm interested to hear other perspectives.  

Others? Thoughts?

I thought Scala.MN was 2nd Wednesday of the month but just not meeting...I'm so out of the loop.

 

I can do either the 23rd or 30th from 7-8pm.

 

The Edward Tufte ("Visualization of Data") seminar is in town on the 23rd but that ends earlier.
