I've been updating to the latest dev build every time an update to the Scala plugin is released.  Now that 6.1 is out, will plugin development be against 6.1 or will it continue to be against the trunk?

The Scala plugins are under active developed, due to the underlaying
changes of NetBeans in trunk, all following Scala plugins require
latest nightly build of NetBeans. I hope that stable plugins may be
available for NetBeans 6.5, which is scheduled at Oct.

So how often do you need to install the nightly build? Every morning?

Thanks,
Steve

No. Usually, you download a nightly build of NetBeans, and install
scala plugins, you find everything looks stable, you then will keep
this nightly build on you machine, and update scala plugins when new
version available, until, someday, you find things become totally
unstable, then you may need a new nightly build of whole IDE again.

Good to know. Unfortunately, last night's nightly build is pretty
unstable for me. I filed each bug I ran into but I will wait a few
days and try another nightly build.

Thanks,
Steve
