At Functional Works we are working with a leading Scala house in London who are currently expanding and looking to take on talented, forward-thinking software engineers.

 

The company is using technology to make managing energy usage easier. They are focused on providing fair prices, great service and clear & concise information to their customers. Last year they were listed in the top 25 UK companies to work for by the Sunday Times and are actually the 10th fastest growing private company in the UK. They are very environmentally ethical and provide a tariff which provides 100% renewable electricity content.

 

On the technical side of things, their current stack is made up of a mixture of Java and Scala but are looking push more of their codebase towards Scala. They are looking for both mid-level and senior engineers who have solid JVM experience to come on board and apply their skills to a game-changing product.

 

Salaries can reach the £65k mark on top of which is an annual bonus which in the past has typically ranged between 10-20%.
