Hi All, and a Happy New Year

It would be great if we could find some talks/speakers for the following year. Are you interested?

The talks can be a work experience (this is how we are using Scala at work) and a great way of letting everyone know a great company you work for because they let you use Scala. Or you work on or interested an open source project that you would like to demonstrate to the whole community and a great way to get more people to help you with the project.
This could be on anything in the Scala ecosystem from akka/play2/scalaz/spark to testing/functional coding and anything in-between

While Scala evening is 60-90 minutes normally the 2nd Wednesday of the month this can be changed to another evening that is more convenient.  And if you don't want to do a whole evening then we could join 2 or 3 smaller talk, or have lightning talks to start the evening.

If you want to give a talk, or just have an idea for something, then please get in touch an...@hicks.net  ( 'andy at hicks.net' if google removed my address ).
Please include a rough idea (ie 'intro to ...' ), if its for a whole evening or how long and finally and idea of when you would like to present it ('next couple of months', 'after october', 'we are releasing to product on x')

Thanks
Andy

ps: I would also be interested in what type of subject people are interested in. If we have requests then we may be able to convince somebody with knowledge to give a presentation.

Hi Andy,

This is Simon from PredictionIO. How are you doing?
Love to speak about the new development of PredictionIO in around Summer time (how about Aug?)

Simon
