I've now created a placeholder app for our website with stax:

This is under a dedicated user account "lsug" that I created just so it would have a nice-looking url...

Anyone interested in developing/maintaining this - please let me know what email address you'd prefer the invite to be sent to and I'll add you to the developer list

Kevin,

How come your not using Lift? ;-)
Stax offer out of the box lift templates and it works great

Cheers, Tim

I was taking a look at lsug.org today and thinking "yes! this must be a Lift app, immediately!" and then thinking... well, yes, but... what should be on lsug.org?  And I figured:
  • events that are happening (LSUG ones, related ones at nearby places, such as Switzerland)
  • a big arrow pointing people over to meetup.com to join the group
I lack imagination and stopped there.  Maybe... past events so people can see what's been happening?  Maybe a page of useful links, maybe...?

I see lsug.org as a nice short URL for people to get an idea about what's going on, and then join the right mailing list.  Or am I totally missing the point.  What do people think should be on lsug.org?

Richard,

Quite possibly yes. Although, you could make it more like a localised
syndication of Scala content from the UK and EU? That would be pretty
simple to setup too - you could also consume the meetup API perhaps
for upcoming meetings?

Cheers, Tim
