Conference website -
http://scala.exchangeThe Scala eXchange is the largest annual Scala conference in Europe with over 500+ attendees each year. With 4 tracks over 2 days this is the perfect opportunity to meet and learn from fellow Scala enthusiasts. Full details for this event can be found at
http://scala.exchange.
We are looking for all types of Scala talks from:
- Work/project experiences using Scala
- Scala design patterns and best practices
- A framework or library that you want to demo
- Scala with Big Data
- TypeSafe or Typelevel stacks
- Functional programming theory/practice
- Deploying, instrumenting, or monitoring Scala projects
Most of all we're looking for talks that inspire and educate. If you proposal doesn't fit into a nice theme, it doesn't matter!
We welcome three types of session:
- 45 minutes (aim to talk for 35 to 40 minutes and 5 to 10 minutes for questions)
- 15 minute lightning talks (you can use the full 15 minutes and take questions after)
- 2+ hour hands on sessions (we will contact you to discuss this).
The selection will be made by Skills Matter & Underscore on the basis of making this as varied and interesting an event as possible.
All accepted speakers will receive a ticket to the conference, plus an additional complimentary ticket.
As proponents of diversity we encourage talks from everyone no matter sex, race, creed, sexuality or ability. And if it is your first time speaking, don't worry, our partners at Underscore are offering shepherding, speaker training, help with presentation writing, and limited bursaries to speakers who have not previously presented at a Scala conference.
