Hey,

I'm Janos, from Kinja and I'm helping with the ping conference, the first about not just Scala but one dedicated to the play! framework. It'll be held in Budapest, Hungary, on the 16th-17th of January. There'll be awesome people giving talks from companies such as LinkedIn, Heroku, Netflix, BBC, and so on.

http://www.ping-conf.com/

We are very fond of the community, and we think the best audience for us would be one which is just as dedicated and enthusiastic as we are.

The early bird registration ends this Friday -- and we would also like to share a small token of our dedication: http://pingv1.eventbrite.com/?discount=SCALA-LANGUAGE

Let me know if you have any questions,

Regards,

Janos

It's been a while since I was last in Budapest, but, is BMC the one with lots of naked stone walls?  The acoustics could be interesting for anyone not used to it :)

On the other hand, it's a great excuse to stock up on bikaver without the extortionate mark-up that merchants add in this country (assuming you can even find the stuff in the first place...)

Well it is hard to find good bikavers but absolutely something that I'd encourage you to do.

Yeah, BMC ha that great auditorium but also a very nice smaller venue, a library which just not only very unique and beautiful for a conference venue but also crazy cozy.

Cheers,

pv

I can guarantee that, compared to Budapest, it's a great deal harder to find *any* bull's blood in London :)

Tokaji's a bit easier, you can even get it from Ocado, but it's definitely not the nicest one I've ever tasted...
