Hey guys,

It's been 2 months and it has been a bit quiet.

Since some of you made an effort to answer the questionnaire, here are
the results:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gy_xsbFBIzSODaz5QDWAJB-CRTPikh1yjixt3gw-7ps/edit

I only just realised, that people had to open an account on
SurveyMonkey before being able to vote, which must have been a big
entry barrier.

This means that the handful of answers come from truly committed Scala hackers.

Feel free to act on this, ignore it, or perhaps re-run it using some
survey service, that is more accessible to people.

Hi, I've only recently joined this list - you seem to be planning meetups at lunchtimes? Whereabouts are you thinking of meeting? Depending on the place I may or may not be able to come along. My office is in Mabgate which is a good ten minute walk from the city centre (Eastgate end).

Thanks,

Russell

Russell,

This group is very new. So far there were only handful of meetings and
they happened during lunch hour.

I suppose there is a bit of traction to organise something after work.

I will let more active users speak.

Ooh, a group! I didn't realise there was an actual group doodad. Queue
grandad-esque attempts to work out how to post...

I met you guys one lunchtime with Leon but I'm not sure we knew what
to expect so it was a tad unfocused.

I'd be up for evenings or lunchtimes. Beer optional.
