Hi everyone!

I'll be giving a Scala presentation to non-Scala-developers in a few days.

Can someone suggest decent slides usable as a starting point (and to make sure I haven't forgot any important topic)?

I would be very happy about any pointers to material I could use for that.

Thanks!

Simon

Hello!

This presentation might be useful - it describes some good parts of Scala, targeted at Java developers. It's not "editable", though.

Best wishes,
Rogach

I have a bunch of links on introductory Scala on the links page of the
course I taught this semester:

http://ata-s12.utcompling.com/links

It also includes links to the tutorials I've been writing about Scala
that are geared toward people with little or no prior programming
experience. You are welcome to use/adapt those for non-commercial use.

I compiled a very short Scala teaser
http://www.kazachonak.com/2012/05/why-scala_09.html
I give it to people, who are not motivated enough to visit full Scala
presentation yet =)

Thanks, Sasha.  All I would ask is that the section on " Scala code is faster, because JVM is faster. " be made a little bit clearer.

I think I understand what you're saying re:Erlang and Java, but it took a moment.
