sbt complier cannot run javac

to scala-labs

I pulled scala-labs to get more experience with the language. But, when trying to initially compile in sbt, I get this error:

[error] (compile:compileIncremental) java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "javac" (in directory "C:\<path>\scala-labs\labs"): CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified

Any idea on what I need to do to clear this up?
