When trying to install Scala-IDE 3.0.2 and all available plugins I select
http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/e38/scala210/stable/site
according to http://scala-ide.org/download/current.html and get after checking Scala-IDE and all plugins

a list of "will not be installed" in eclipse-java-kepler-SR1-win32.zip so just Scala-IDE and the Play plugin "will be installed".

Elswhere you state that "plugins are only available for milestones and final releases" (Mirco) - is 3.0.2 not a final in your terms?
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Peter, Nikolay, it's a glitch on our side, and we are working toward a solution. Will let you know the moment it's fixed.

Thanks for letting us know!

The stable update site should work now (except for the InSynth plugin, in the Incubation category, is not available for 3.0.2).

Does download.scala-ide.org work now?
I get errors when I try to install Scala IDE.

I already installed Scala IDE plugin for Scala 2.10 in Eclipse Kepler a few days ago.
But I came to need Scala 2.11 for the new feature, so I tried to install Scala IDE dev, but Eclipse output an error when it tries to get Scala IDE plugins list.

Unable to connect to repository http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/e38/scala211/dev/site/content.xml
Unable to connect to repository http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/e38/scala211/dev/site/content.xml
Connection to http://download.scala-ide.org refused

I also tried Stable version to check whether this is only the dev repository problem.
But the stable repository also showed the same error.

Unable to connect to repository http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/e38/scala210/stable/site/content.xml
Unable to connect to repository http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/e38/scala210/stable/site/content.xml
Connection to http://download.scala-ide.org refused

If I ping to the download.scala-ide.org [64.90.48.33], then only time-out messages come out.
I can't get any respond from the Scala IDE download server.

Seems to be working fine now. It may have been down when you tried, could you give it another shot.

Sorry for the trouble.

Yes. It is working now although the download speed goes very low now and then. It's tolerable anyway.
Thanks.

Mirco, Iulian:
I can also confirm that the installation of the plugins is now working as expected. Thanks for repairing.

If you use http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/helium/e38/scala210/dev/site and check everything including Scala IDE Plugins (incubation):

Inline image 1

Eclipse will spin for a while and then give you a screen telling you that baffling things will happen:

Inline image 2

Unchecking insynth and java to scala means I can continue without those errors:

Thanks James for taking the time, really nice step through!

@Donny Could you push a new build of the Java2Scala compatible with 3.0.3-RC1? To do so, it should be enough to build against http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/helium/e38/scala210/dev/site and push the bits at the usual place

About InSynth, we plan to remove the plug-in from the ecosystem because it currently has some issue keeping up with changes in the Scala compiler (as discussed here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/scala-ide-dev/$20InSynth$20plugin$3A$20an$20issue$20with$20interaction$20with$20the$20Scala$20compiler/scala-ide-dev/4wPK-rDRWN4/gJ32XAtgeSoJ). Of course, we will be happy to bring it back once the issues are resolved.

Hi Kapil,

Can you check that you are able to reach http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/helium/e38/scala210/stable/site/content.jar ? (The update site doesn't contain the content.xml file, only the jared version)
If you do, you should be able install Scala IDE.

Hi Luc, I tried just now and getting following error

Unable to read repository at http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/helium/e38/scala210/stable/site/content.jar/content.xml.
Unable to read repository at http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/helium/e38/scala210/stable/site/content.jar/content.xml.
Socket operation on nonsocket: configureBlocking

is it something related to my office proxy or do i need to setup some proxy on eclipse?

not sure but I am trying from yesterday and always getting this error?

Please can you advise more on this?

What I meant was to try to get to http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/helium/e38/scala210/stable/site/ or http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/helium/e38/scala210/stable/site/content.jar from a browser, to check that you are able to access any content from our servers.
