Hi guys,
As discussed a while ago, we introduced a new workflow for contributing to the
Scala IDE (which is basically the GitHub workflow), i.e., always fork the project
and create pull-request to integrate back the changes.
I believe this way of working has been very effective and it did increase quality of
the code we push in master (well, I can tell for sure that it improved the quality of
my coding ;)). And this tweet kind of proves my point
This entails that committers in the project are there simply for merging pull-requests.
For this reason, we were thinking of reducing the number of committers to the actual
people that do the "merging pull-request" work. My suggestion would be to have the
following people in the Committers team:
Of course, we don't want to upset anyone. So, if you disagree, please speak now or
forever hold your peace ;)
