Job Requirements

● 5+ years of experience

● Programming experience in Java and SQL. Scala is a plus.

● A general understanding of big data distributed compute framework, e.g. Hadoop, Spark.

Knowledge of Presto or Trino is a plus

● A general understanding of cloud, e.g. cloud storage(Google Cloud Storage or Amazon S3), cloud computation(Amazon EMR, Redshift, or Google BigQuery)

● Capability of supporting customers, including help Presto users troubleshoot query failures, finding root cause

● Capability of supporting Presto cluster operations, including parameter tuning, building page-duties and alerts to monitor cluster health, and backport open source patches into Twitter internal branches

● Drive the migration of Presto to BigQuery in 2022, including working closely with theTwitter teams for BigQuery & Presto, implementing plans, help users, and building tools to achieve it
